People are often overly critical of their own work. As I said, I think it looks great. However, if you're unhappy, how about dialling up the rocky sections, dialling down the grass and adding spots of colour with lichen on the rocks?
I think the ground cover looks spot on, like gorse. Also, I really love how these old sculpts look with a modern paintjob. Straight fire, as the kids say. 🫶🏻
The paintobs are spot on of course. I have been thinking about this, the bases are very good, the models are very good. The only thing I can think of is that they look a bit lost maybe? The bases seem big, are they 20x20mm ?
yep. 25x25 bases. Tired of trying to align these little buggers on small bases. Also i plan to use them as normal Chaos Warriors in a future Warhammer battle :)
I see where you're going. back to my usual bases :o) To be frank, I have already removed the bases shot in this post, and prepared new ones in my usual style. Except they're 25x25!
Beautiful
ReplyDeleteThey look very good to me. What's the problem?
ReplyDeleteThanks. The static grass has flattened everything. It looks unnatural.

Deleteyep. I'll try something like that. plus standing stones engraved with Chaotic runes.

Deleteah I reckon that could be it, do you have a 20x20 you can try them on, see if that makes the niggles go away, or are you dead set against 20mm bases?
