I'm still searching for the recipe for my Troll Country bases. Below some tests, combining snow, grass or lichens, and rocks.
Any advice?
I prefer the two without any snow. Both remind me of trips to Scandinavia outside of winter time. If forced to pick, I'd opt for the square test base as there's greater contrast and it's more in keeping with your usual style.

I prefer the bottom style, but feel it would be even better on a quare base.
