Swordsman #8

Another unreleased warrior from Marauder Miniatures. He looks like a gladiator or a pit fighter, not totally fitting in an imperial army, but acceptable in a unit of mercenaries.

Swordsman #7

Another unreleased Marauder warrior (easy to find, compared to the previous one). Quite fun to paint :)

For the shield, Ive used once again the following illustration:

Swordsman #6

All right, back to the hired swords with this warrior from the MM60 range (reference F13).

Nothing much to say about the painting, except that I've used for the arms of the shield an illustration found in the Warhammer 3rd edition rulebook and signed by Chris Achilleos: Blood Royale or The King Must Die.

Seeing the final result, I realise that I should have drown the crown and the snake slightly bigger on the shield. Too late...

The jailer

Admittedly not the best sculpting job of the Marauder range, I think we can credit Trish Carden for this citizen miniature (MM62 CZ30). I've slightly converted it by replacing the dagger with a club and by adding a bunch of keys.

St Quintus executionner

You've seen the converted model before, here it is now with some colours. A lot of black here, because I wanted to hide these ugly furred boots. And I should have spent more time on the flesh tones...

The result is a little bit monotonous I'm afraid, even if I tried to paint the severed heads with blue, green and purple tones.

Marauder unreleased warrior #1

To conclude this last set of militiamen, a roman legionnaire, lost in the Old World. The model is an unreleased warrior from the Marauder Miniatures range, most likely scupted by Aly Morrison. A real pleasure to paint :)
