Militiamen #7 and #8

Initially, I was planning to use the MM41 ogre as a bodyguard for the leader of the militia. In the end, they didn't fit on a single 40x40 base, and I've replaced the merchant by a halfling from the MM64 range (reference HL4).

As you can see, I've tried to keep the same colors as those used for the spearmen: leather, beige, black and red. And my militia has now two full ranks :)

  2. Looks great! At first glance the ogre looks like he's creaping up on his lunch :)

    Very cool.

  7. Seriously great unit. Mixing different sizes in a unit I think always makes it stand out - of course on top your excellent paint jobs as well!

    1. Thanks. I still have a few MM41 ogres to paint: I'll try to integrate them in the different regiments of this army (with some Marauder dwarves).

  12. Could you share your color recipe for your padded armors? The yellow-brown looks very vivid and interesting. I would like to try to copy these on my models:p

    1. I use as a base the first shading tone of the Andrea flesh paint, highlight it with VMC Tan Yellow and VMC Ivory Bone. For the shadows, different brown inks, in particular the VGC Chestnut ink.
